Not all compliance
is created equal.
Many hexagon lights sold in Australia carry RCM and SAA markings. What is often not disclosed is that those marks may only apply to individual components. Not the assembled luminaire you are connecting to mains power.
Component-only compliance
A cable can carry an RCM mark. A LED driver can pass SAA component testing. A LED bar can be individually certified. But if the final assembled luminaire has never been tested as a whole unit, there is no guarantee the assembled product is safe to use.
