Quality Assurance

Tested and Assembled
in Sydney, Before It
Ever Reaches You

Every HEXA order is hand-assembled and fully tested at our Sydney HQ. Nothing leaves until it has been powered on, checked and confirmed working. Backed by a 7 year warranty.

Our Process

Not Drop-Shipped. Hand-Assembled in Sydney.

Most hexagon LED kits sold online follow the same process: a factory overseas packs the components, the box travels to a distribution centre, and it is shipped direct to the customer. No-one checks whether it works. No-one tests it at 240V. The customer opens the box and finds out.

HEXA works differently. Every order is built by hand at our Sydney headquarters before it leaves. Components are inspected on arrival, assembled into a complete system, powered on at 240V, checked against specification, and packed for dispatch only after it passes every step. You receive a confirmed-working system, not a box of parts with fingers crossed.

This is not marketing. It is a literal description of what happens to your order before it ships.

Pre-Dispatch Process

The Six-Step Testing Process

Every HEXA order goes through each of these steps at our Sydney HQ before it is packed for dispatch. No exceptions, no shortcuts.

1
Component Inspection
All panels, connectors, drivers and hardware are individually checked against the order specification before assembly begins. Any component that does not meet standard is replaced before it enters the build.
2
Hand Assembly
Panels are manually assembled into the configured layout. Connectors are seated and checked for secure engagement. The driver is wired and all cable routing is completed. The assembled system is ready for electrical testing.
3
240V Power-On Test
The complete assembled system is connected to 240V Australian mains power. Every panel must illuminate on first power-on. Any system that does not pass this test is disassembled, the fault is identified and resolved, and the system is rebuilt and retested.
4
Output and Colour Temperature Check
Light output and colour temperature are verified against the specification for the order. A 6500K order confirmed at 6500K. A 3000K order confirmed at 3000K. Output uniformity across panels is checked visually and any inconsistency is investigated.
5
Final Visual QC
The powered-on system is inspected at close range. Frame finish, connector seating, cable tidiness and panel alignment are all checked. Scratches, blemishes or imperfect assemblies are not packed, they are resolved first.
6
Protective Packing
The confirmed-working system is carefully packed in protective packaging designed to prevent transit damage. Panels are separated and cushioned. Hardware and instructions are included and accounted for before the box is sealed.

Why It Matters

Why We Test Every Order

Individual testing adds time and cost. We do it because the alternative, a customer receiving a non-working order, is not acceptable. Here is exactly what pre-dispatch testing delivers for you.

Fewer Faults on Arrival
When every system is 240V tested before dispatch, faults on arrival become rare rather than routine. The problem is resolved at our end, on our bench, not by the customer after installation.
240V Confidence
Every system leaves our facility confirmed safe on 240V Australian mains. Not designed for 240V, actually tested at 240V, on the exact system that will ship to you. There is no guesswork.
True Plug-and-Play
When the kit has been assembled and tested before it ships, plug-and-play is a literal description. Mount the panels, plug in the driver, power on. It works on the first try because we verified it works before it left Sydney.
Local Accountability
We are an Australian business assembling your order in Sydney. If anything is wrong, you are dealing with an Australian team that owns the problem and resolves it, not chasing an overseas warehouse that packaged your order sight unseen.

What This Means for You

What You Actually Receive

When your HEXA order arrives, here is what the pre-dispatch process has already delivered.

On arrival
A confirmed-working system
Not a kit that might work. Not a kit that worked on a batch sample. Your specific order, individually assembled and individually tested, confirmed working before it was packed.
At install
Mount, plug in, done
Because the system has been tested, installation is straightforward. Follow the provided mounting instructions, connect the driver, plug into 240V. No fault-finding, no second guessing.
Long term
Australian warranty and support
HEXA is a Sydney business. Warranty claims and support are handled by the same team that assembled your order, not routed to an overseas contact centre. 7 year warranty on all systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Testing and Quality FAQs

Are HEXA hexagon lights tested before dispatch?
Yes. Every HEXA order goes through a six-step pre-dispatch process at our Sydney HQ: component inspection, hand assembly, 240V power-on test, output and colour temperature check, final visual QC, and protective packing. Nothing leaves our facility until it has been powered on and confirmed working.
Where are HEXA hexagon lights assembled?
Every HEXA order is hand-assembled at our Sydney headquarters in Australia. We do not drop-ship components from overseas factories. Orders are built, tested and packed in Sydney before dispatch to customers anywhere in Australia.
Does the pre-dispatch test cover 240V compliance?
Yes. Step 3 of our pre-dispatch process is a 240V power-on test on every individual order. We connect each completed assembled system to 240V Australian mains power and confirm it operates correctly before packing. This confirms the system is safe and fully functional on arrival.
What does plug-and-play mean for HEXA hexagon lights?
Plug-and-play means the system arrives fully assembled, pre-tested and ready to mount and power on. No rewiring, no electrician, no further assembly required. The kit includes an Australian 240V plug and all mounting hardware. Mount the panels, connect the driver, plug in and switch on.
What happens if my HEXA light is faulty on arrival?
Because every order is 240V tested before dispatch, faults on arrival are rare. If an issue does occur, contact our Sydney team directly. As an Australian business we handle warranty claims and replacements from Sydney, there is no overseas return process and no extended waiting period.
How is HEXA quality control different from drop-shipped products?
Drop-shipped products are packed at an overseas factory and shipped direct to customers without individual testing. HEXA orders are hand-assembled from components at our Sydney HQ and every individual order is tested on 240V power before packing. You receive a confirmed-working system, not a box of untested parts.
